The Nobel Prize-winning (1963) Greek poet Georgios Seferis says: The Greece consists of three parts: Olive groves, Vineyards and Sea. Other EUROPEIAN and FDA of USA RECOMMENDATIONS
The second health claim of the 432/2012 regulation claims that: << replacing saturated fats with unsaturated fats in the diet helps maintain normal blood cholesterol levels >>. Olive oil contains 87% oleic acid which belongs to unsaturated fats.
We strongly believe that a large number of people (whose cholesterol troubles their hearts) would like to consume a food that is also a medicine.
(With the formulation Phenolic Extra Virgin Olive Oil, the European regulation defines olive oil whose concentration of phenols (hydroxytyrosol and derivatives) is equal to or greater than 250 mg per kilogram).
The US Food and Drug Administration (F.D.A.) also agreed with the above European Regulation. So it issued its own Strong Health Recommendation for American citizens on November 19, 2018. "Scientific evidence shows that consuming about 2 tablespoons (20 grams) of olive oil daily may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease due to the monounsaturated fat in olive oil. To achieve this potential benefit, olive oil should replace a similar amount of saturated fat and not increase the total number of calories you consume in a day>>.
